Erecting the new Mosley TA33JRN Act Two

... continued from Act One

In the Act One we learned how easy it was to assemble and raise Mosley TA33JRN on the garage in the backyard.

Almost immediately after I mounted the antenna on the mast, tidied away all the tools and mess and took a delight in looking at the beautiful piece of equipment, my lovely neighbor lady came to me complaining that the 'monster' terribly blocks her beautiful view from her garden and besides that it partly extends over her space (this was true). I learned that before she came to me, she started a 'resistance movement' trying to persuade other neighbors to act against me and my antenna. So I tore the antenna down and moved it to my house, what you can see in this Act Two. I was extremely pissed off but finally it proved to be good as the coax length is now much shorter and therefore the losses aren't an issue anymore.

Moving the antenna

I put the mast on a balcony of my bedroom, just a few meters from my hamshack which is under the roof just above the bedroom.

...had to put the mast into the bedroom before raising

I don't have pictures from the same act of raising but it was not easy to do that - 6 metres long mast with a heavy rotator and antenna on its end. We were four people to do that, it took us tough 10 minutes to do.
